Digital menu for snack, shawarma and fast food in Casablanca

In Casablanca, the snack bar is the place for a quick lunch and a late dinner, and the queue always forms at the same hour.

In Casablanca the crowd changes from one district to the next: office workers in a hurry at lunch, families on the corniche at night, football fans on derby nights. One venue often has to handle all three.

What matters in Casablanca

On Wydad or Raja match nights, and even more on derby nights, any room with a screen fills up at once. Match mode applies the evening's prices to the whole room, with an optional minimum per table, and switches itself off the next day.

Near the Hassan II University faculties and along the big office boulevards, the lunch break hits all at once. In counter mode the guest orders on the phone, pays first at the till, and the phone rings when the food is ready.

During Ramadan, business moves to after ftour and lasts until shour in many districts. Set the day start to around 7 am so order numbers do not reset in the middle of the night.

Service in a snack bar, shawarma place or fast food

A Moroccan snack bar often mixes two services: the counter, where guests order and pay first, and a few tables to eat in. At peak hours the queue grows in front of the till and whoever takes orders becomes the bottleneck. Every minute spent repeating "no onion, Algerian sauce" is another minute of queue.

In the kitchen, the griddle, the spit and the fryer all run at once. Paper tickets get mixed up, an option like "no harissa" is hard to read, and a takeaway order ends up under an eat-in one. A kitchen screen showing each ticket with its options, in order and with its waiting time, prevents these mistakes.

A service with Tablilo

  1. 1The guest scans the counter or table QR and builds the sandwich with its options.
  2. 2At the counter, the guest pays at the till: the order goes to the kitchen as soon as it is paid.
  3. 3The kitchen screen shows the ticket with "no onion" in plain view and the waiting time.
  4. 4When the kitchen taps "Ready", the guest's phone rings and the number shows on the counter screen.
  5. 5A takeaway link shared on WhatsApp also lets guests order before they arrive.

Frequently asked questions

My Casablanca restaurant gets a lot of company guests: how do I handle their invoices?

The guest asks for an ICE invoice from the phone with the company name and its 15-digit ICE. Your venue is the issuer, with your ICE, IF and RC. You print it or send it by WhatsApp, and it shows up in the payments export.

Does the guest need an app to be told the order is ready?

No. They keep their order page open on the phone, and it rings when the kitchen taps "Ready". The number also shows on the counter screen if you have one.

Can I keep the till and pay-first?

Yes. At the counter, the order only goes to the kitchen once it is paid at the till. At tables you can keep payment at the end as usual.
