Waiter app for restaurants and cafés
The Tablilo waiter app runs on each waiter's own phone, with nothing to install. Table orders arrive with quantities, the waiter confirms with one tap, and guest requests (water, the bill, call the waiter) land in the same place.
Start the free trialThe problem: wasted trips across the room
A waiter spends much of a shift walking: to the table to take the order, to the bar to pass it on, back to the table for forgotten water or the bill. On a big terrace, a guest raising a hand is not always seen.
The waiter app puts all of it on one screen, in the waiter's pocket.
How the waiter app works day to day
At the start of service, the waiter opens the app and types a 4-digit PIN. They pick the tables they serve today, and calls from those tables ring on their phone only.
When a table orders by QR, the order arrives with the table number and quantities. The waiter confirms with one tap and it goes to the bar or the kitchen. Guest requests (water, napkins, the bill, call the waiter) arrive in the same list. When the bar or kitchen taps 'Prêt', the waiter is alerted.
A guest would rather order by voice? The waiter keys the order for them. Each waiter has their own language (French, Arabic or English), and the 'Mon service' screen shows their tables, guests and tips for the day.
Setup in the dashboard
Add each team member in the dashboard and Tablilo gives them a 4-digit PIN to note down. The waiter opens the link on their phone and can add it to the home screen like an app. No phones to buy, everyone uses their own.
Limits and good practice
The app needs internet on the waiter's phone, so give the team good Wi-Fi. A PIN is personal and should not be shared: it ties orders, cancellations and tips to the right person. More than 20 wrong PINs in an hour block that device for an hour. Assign tables every day, or calls ring for everyone.
Which venues benefit most
Cafés with large terraces, restaurants with table service, lounges and rooftops where the room is big and dark. In a snack running counter mode, the app is mostly used to confirm orders and flag when they are ready.
Frequently asked questions
Do we have to install an app on the phones?
No. It is a web app: the waiter opens a link and can add it to the home screen. It runs on their own phone.
One waiter prefers Arabic, another French. Is that possible?
Yes. Each waiter picks their own language (French, Arabic or English), whatever language the guests use.
What happens when a waiter leaves the team?
Remove them in the dashboard and their PIN stops working. Their past sales stay in the reports.
Can a waiter cancel an order?
Yes, but every cancellation is recorded: who, when and why. The owner sees it in the log, which also protects honest waiters.
