Waiter tips, per waiter and with no maths
With Tablilo, guests can tip their waiter with one tap when they pay on their phone. The tip is recorded under the waiter's name and shows in their 'Mon service' screen and in the owner's reports.
Start the free trialThe problem: tips nobody can track
In Morocco, tips are often left as coins on the table, or vanish into the till when the guest pays by card. The waiter does not always know what they earned, and the owner does not know who was rewarded.
A tip recorded under the waiter's name makes it clear for everyone.
How waiter tips work
On the bill, the guest sees who served them, for example 'Servi aujourd'hui par Karim. Un pourboire ?', with a few suggested amounts. They tap one, or none: the tip is optional.
The amount is added to their payment and shows on the bill as a tip. The waiter sees it in 'Mon service', next to their tables and guests for the day.
The owner finds tips per waiter in the reports and in the export (one line per payment, with a tip column).
Setup in the dashboard
In settings, turn on tips and choose the suggested amounts in dirhams. The waiter's name appears automatically, based on the tables they picked for the day.
Limits and good practice
Tablilo records tips, it does not pay them out: how you share and hand them to the team is up to you and your rules. Suggest modest, round amounts that fit your prices. At 'Fin de service', the waiter counts the cash they hand in without their tips, so the cash difference stays accurate.
Which venues benefit most
Cafés and restaurants with table service, and lounges and rooftops where service quality matters a lot. A tip in the waiter's name motivates the team and helps you keep good staff.
Frequently asked questions
Is the tip mandatory for guests?
No. The buttons are suggestions on the bill, and guests can pay without a tip.
How do I know what each waiter received?
Each waiter sees the day's tips in 'Mon service'. The owner sees them per waiter in the reports and the export.
Does Tablilo keep part of the tip?
No. Tablilo never touches the money: the tip is paid with the bill, to the venue.
What about cash tips left on the table?
They still work as before. Tablilo only tracks tips added to the payment on the phone; coins left on the table stay outside the reports.
