Match mode for cafés: match prices and a table minimum
Tablilo's match mode for cafés switches the whole room to match prices during football, with a minimum per table if you want one. It stops by itself at the start of the next day, and a manager can turn it on from their phone.
Start the free trialThe match night problem in cafés
On a Raja against Wydad night, or when the Atlas Lions play, the café is full an hour before kick-off. Every chair counts, and a guest who holds a table for three hours with one coffee costs you money.
So many cafés use match prices and a minimum per table. The hard part is explaining it table by table over the noise, and remembering to put normal prices back the next day.
How match mode works, step by step
Before the match, the owner or a manager taps 'Turn on match mode'. Match prices apply to the whole room and show on the guest menu at once.
If you set a minimum, the guest sees 'Match minimum per table' with the amount in their basket. The waiter has nothing to explain: the rule is on the guest's phone.
Orders reach the waiter app and the bar screen as usual. The next day, at the start of the day, match mode stops on its own and normal prices return.
Setup in the dashboard
In the menu, each item can have a 'Match price'. In settings, under Match mode, enter the minimum per table in dirhams, or leave it empty for none.
On the night, one tap is enough, from the dashboard or from a manager's phone.
Limits and good practice
Match mode covers the whole room: there are no match prices for a single table. It does not schedule itself around kick-off either: someone turns it on before the game.
Announce the rule at the door with a small sign, keep the minimum reasonable, and only set match prices on what really sells those nights (tea, coffee, juice, soft drinks). The reports then show what the match brought in.
Who benefits most
Cafés with a big screen and a terrace benefit most. Lounges and rooftops showing the big games, and snack bars serving during the match, use it too.
